Defining health
Operational definitions and observable features of adaptive function.
Our research agenda asks whether definitions, methods, and instruments can describe human function accurately, reproducibly, and usefully.
Each theme requires a stated method, appropriate controls, and honest reporting of limitations.
Operational definitions and observable features of adaptive function.
Recognition, production, transport, resolution, and recovery across time.
Precision, test–retest performance, construct validity, and comparison methods.
Relationships among autonomic, cardiovascular, neuromuscular, cognitive, and environmental factors.
Separating meaningful change from normal variability and instrument noise.
Whether instruction improves interpretation, judgment, and practical competence.
Research outputs should distinguish an observation from a proposed mechanism, and a proposed mechanism from a validated intervention. Protocols, inclusion criteria, outcome definitions, analytic methods, funding, conflicts, and limitations belong in the record.
The Center’s publications and affiliated work should be cited individually, with links to the actual articles or repositories once reviewed and approved for this site.
Researchers who can contribute independent methods, critical review, or replication are welcome to contact admin@peakhealth.center. No affiliation or collaboration is implied by this invitation.
Where human participants or identifiable data are involved, research plans must address consent, privacy, data access, security, relevant independent review, and the applicable law and institutional approvals.
Do not interpret a research topic as a confirmed outcome. Specific protocols, sample sizes, approvals, datasets, and publications should be added only with their verified documentation.
